IMMRAM - A Testing Journey

Andrea La Sonde Anastos and Brad & Rita Berglund will explore the celtic concept of immram through fiber art, photographs and poetry. This is a conversation in three art forms as friends and colleagues probe the experience of spiritual testing using word and image. An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. There will be an opportunity to engage with the pieces and the artists' process beginning at 7:30 p.m.

“Tiny Tots Love Music” concerts employ an experiential approach: children participate in physical activity related to the music and directed listening through age appropriate narration, resulting in a powerful musical experience. During the concert, parents are also actively involved in the musical activities, becoming exceptional role models for their children. Hand clappin’, finger snappin’, foot stompin’, musical activities make this a fun event for everyone. Especially designed for children under six, these 45-minute concerts enrich early brain development and musical awareness in children, teach parents the benefits of including music in their children’s daily lives and spark a lifelong love of music in young minds and hearts. Marnie Giesbrecht and Joachim Segger are Duo Majoya. Their duo repertoire includes piano duets, organ duets, and duets for organ and piano. Concert programs are eclectic and innovative, including a broad range of original, commissioned, and arranged works. They have performed extensively in North America, Europe, and South Africa. Regular performers in the Winspear Centre for Music in Edmonton, and Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary, performances also include Los Angeles, California (American Guild of Organists national convention); Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris; St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna; Kaiser-Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche, Berlin; Marienkirche, Legnica, Poland and Winchester Cathedral, England. The Rocky Mountain Flute Choir

The Rocky Mountain Flute Choir welcomes you to an evening of “Fairy Tales and Folk Songs.” Children and adults can sit back and enjoy the music of Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” and Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty,” in addition to a musical journey of familiar and not-so-familiar folk songs from around the world.
