2015/2016 Performing Arts Schedule
First Plymouth Opening Service of Celebration
Sunday, October 11, 2015, 10:00 a.m.
This Sunday marks a very special time in the life of First Plymouth Congregational Church as we celebrate the opening of our newly renovated sanctuary! During this service we will remember our past, live our present, and look towards our future at First Plymouth as we hear spoken word from six generations. The First Plymouth Chancel Choir and Orchestra will feature anthems from Dan Forrest’s “Requiem for the Living”, and a heralding fanfare will begin the service as the brass and percussion ring through the walls of First Plymouth, featuring Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man”. Arts at Plymouth and the First Plymouth Endowment are proud to sponsor this glorious service of fanfare, music, singing, choir and orchestra, along with processions of choir, children, banners, and spoken word! Come celebrate with us and revel in the beauty for the senses of sight and sound.
