AGO Concert: February 10 – “Windows”

Members of the Denver Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents a concert SaturdayFebruary 10 at 7:30P in the Sanctuary.  Inspired by windows – sacred, commercial, academic, and household, this concert will include music from across the centuries. Photos of the windows that inspired the programmed pieces will be included in the concert program. Sometimes we admire the beauty of the window itself; sometimes we enjoy the view from the window.

Compositions to be played will cover the range of organ literature, from the classics, Bach and Brahms, to the edgier sounds of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Roger-Ducasse, Mathias and Eben. First Plymouth’s recently upgraded Rodgers/Reuter hybrid organ will provide a marvelous vehicle for the performance of these works.

The concert is open to the public, and a free-offering will be taken. Contributions will go to Denver Rocky Mountain Chapter’s support for new organists. A reception will follow the concert.
