Rwanda Outreach Project
The Mission of the Rwanda Outreach Project, founded in 2006, is to contribute to the support of children served by Association Solidarite in Kanombe Village, Rwanda. The goal is to furnish funds for books, school supplies, uniforms, and a nutritious breakfast for the neediest. It is necessary that children have everything covered in order to attend school.
When we give a year of education to a child, it is like a small drop in a pond; it’s one kernel of goodness that has a ripple effect. A child going to school becomes a teenager who finishes school, who passes government exams, who gets a job, who is then able to enrich his or her community with leadership skills, and who raises a family with educated children. Such people collectively lift their communities out of the cycle of poverty.
We know our dollars are working because the lives of our sponsored children are much improved. Members and friends of our congregation visit Kanombe Village and have seen lives changed.
The cost to support a child for one year is $200 for primary school and $350 for secondary school, but donations can be made in any amount. If you would like to help us stay the course in this important mission, please email or call the church office at 303-7620-0616.
